Our Surgical Suite features a 9‑room unit supporting a wide range of specialties performed daily, offering a dynamic and fast‑paced environment for growth. With a team of experienced nurses—including many with 15+ years in the unit—you will find exceptional opportunities for training, mentorship, and professional development.

• Provides intraoperative and postoperative nursing care.
• Safely and adequately provides and utilizes equipment and supplies based on unique patient need.
• Uses electronic nursing documentation for charging patient supplies per department policy and procedure.
• Evaluates patient outcomes.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Assesses the physiological and psychosocial needs of the patient and works as an advocate for the physical and emotional wellbeing of the patient.

• Graduate of a professional school of Nursing.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or a Compact State.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Hourly Range $31.49 - $42.51
