Carilion Clinic is seeking a compassionate and skilled APP's (NP or PA) to join Carilion Family and Internal Medicine in Martinsville, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity to practice high-quality, patient-centered internal medicine within a collaborative and well-established healthcare system.
Position OverviewThe APP will provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients in an outpatient internal medicine setting. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, clinically strong, and committed to delivering exceptional care across a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Perform health assessments, preventive care, and patient education
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and care team members
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or eligibility)
- National board certification
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Previous internal medicine or primary care experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
