Our Outpatient Surgery unit offers a true family atmosphere, with many nurses who have proudly served this team for 15 years or more. • Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
• Assesses learning needs and delivers age/culture-appropriate patient/family education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and required continuing education.

The right person who will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Applicants should have a current VA or compact state license. Associate's degree in nursing required.

• Additional requirements include:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support
• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• Previous experience in acute care hospital setting preferred

Hourly Range: $31.49 - $42.51 per hour.
