Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a VA or compact RN license and at least 1-2 years of ER experience.

• Active RN license valid in Virginia (VA or compact license required)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/Handle with Care, NIHSS, and PALS or ENPC
• 1-2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Emergency Room experience required

• Acute-care hospital Emergency Department serving all patient ages
• 34-bed unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, CHF, COPD, and psychiatric conditions
• Uses Medhost EHR system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Call requirements as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Deliver emergency nursing care to patients of all ages within a full-service acute-care hospital
• Supervised by the Director of Emergency Services
• Consent to random on-site drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
