Our client is a growing manufacturing company seeking a Cost Accounting Supervisor to support a highly operational, production-driven environment. This is a hands‑on role focused on job costing, WIP, and percent‑completion accounting across multiple active builds.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to operations, working directly with production and purchasing, and ensuring financial data accurately reflects what’s happening on the shop floor. There is clear long‑term growth potential

- Maintain and reconcile WIP schedules across multiple active jobs
- Track labor hours, materials received, purchasing, and overhead by job
- Support percent‑completion revenue recognition
- Ensure WIP aligns with physical production progress
- Partner with production and purchasing to resolve costing issues
- Support margin analysis, variance analysis, and build‑level reporting
- Assist with pricing, quoting, and cost reviews as needed
- Support month‑end close, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Ensure accurate job‑level financial reporting in line with GAAP
- Use ERP systems to support job costing, purchasing, and reporting
- Improve costing workflows, documentation, and controls as the business grows
- Work closely with operations, production managers, and leadership
- Provide guidance to junior accounting or AR/AP staff as needed
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or job‑costing environments
- Strong understanding of WIP schedules and percent‑completion accounting
- Comfortable in a blue‑collar, production‑focused environment
- Detail‑oriented, practical, and willing to be on‑site
- Interested in growth and increased responsibility over time
- ERP experience (Sage, Dynamics, or similar)
- Exposure to custom or build‑to‑order manufacturing
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience (formal or informal)
- Highly operational, not a back‑office position
- Direct exposure to production and decision‑making
- Stable company with long‑term growth plans
- Opportunity to grow into a senior finance or controller‑level role
