Senior Accountant- WIP & Costing

Compensation: $105K–$125K Base + Bonus

Our manufacturing client is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant with strong experience in WIP (Work-in-Progress), job costing, and percent-completion revenue recognition
.

This is an on-site, production-driven environment where accounting is tightly integrated with operations. The ideal candidate understands how labor, materials, purchasing activity, and inventory movement directly impact financial reporting and job-level profitability.

This role is critical to maintaining accurate build-level financial visibility across multiple active projects.

• Maintain and update WIP schedules across multiple active jobs
• Track labor, materials, and overhead allocation by job
• Review job-level P&Ls and gross margins
• Investigate and correct job coding discrepancies
• Ensure alignment between operational progress and financial reporting

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Support full month-end close
• Reconcile inventory and cost accounts
• Maintain GAAP-compliant financials
• Assist with audit preparation

• Partner closely with production and purchasing teams
• Validate financial data against receiving logs and inventory flow
• Monitor active job profitability and identify cost overruns early
• Support margin analysis and reporting

• 6–12+ years of accounting experience
• Background in manufacturing, construction, or project-based environments
• Experience with percent-completion revenue recognition
• Strong understanding of debits & credits, GL structure, and chart of accounts
• Experience reviewing job-level gross margins
• Comfortable working on-site in a fast-paced environment
• Clear, direct communicator who processes information quickly

• ERP experience in job-costing environments
