Homefix is a leading home improvement company dedicated to helping homeowners improve the comfort, value, and efficiency of their homes. We are seeking an experienced, organized, and proactive Accountant to join our Finance Department and support the continued growth of our business.

Position Summary

The Accountant will work closely with the Controller and CFO to support the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting treasury and banking activities, and ensuring accounting transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Controller and CFO with daily accounting operations and financial reporting activities
  • Manage and reconcile bank accounts and assist with treasury and cash management functions
  • Record, review, and maintain accurate accounting transactions and journal entries
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Monitor cash activity and support forecasting efforts
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Assist with internal controls, process improvements, and accounting best practices
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial information
  • Support audits, financial reviews, and special projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in corporate, operational, or general accounting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close procedures
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Business Central (BC)
  • Experience in construction, home services, or other operationally focused businesses
  • Experience supporting treasury management and cash operations
