Legacy Search Advisors is partnering with a fast-growing construction firm on a Controller search—a role designed for someone who wants a seat at the table as the company scales through strategic expansion.

This is not a “keep the lights on” Controller role. This is a builder’s role.

You’ll own and elevate the entire accounting function while acting as a financial leader to the executive team—bringing clarity, control, and insight as the business grows.

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations (GL, close, reporting, controls)
• Drive process improvement & scalability
• Partner with leadership on forecasting, cash flow, and strategic decisions
• Play a key role in M&A activity—due diligence, integration, and financial alignment
• Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team

• Growth trajectory: Company is actively pursuing acquisitions and expansion
• Visibility: Direct exposure to executive leadership and ownership
• Industry: Construction—where strong Controllers are critical to managing complex project financials

• Controller (or strong Accounting Manager ready to step up)
• Construction / project-based accounting experience (WIP, revenue recognition, job costing)
• Proven ability to build processes in a growing environment
• CPA strongly preferred
