We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our client’s team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and innovative team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and coordinating the financial activities of the company. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers;

preparing and analyzing budgets; and performing general bookkeeping. This role also includes ensuring compliance with FASB standards and providing accurate, timely financial information to company leaders.

• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Review all inter‑company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Coordinate semi‑annual audits and assist CFO with conducting audits.
• Conduct regular ledger maintenance.
• Adhere to FASB standards to maintain financial security of the organization.
• Analyze financial reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
• Assist with the month‑end closing process, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all tasks.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to meet internal and external financial reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to support overall department goals and objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and financial analysis.
• Experience with computerized ledger systems.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting and financial procedures, including FASB regulations and GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in the scientific industry is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Proactive, hands‑on strategic thinker who will own, in partnership with the CFO, the responsibility for accounting.
