Position Summary

The Part‑Time Enrollment Center Agent provides comprehensive customer service to students, the college community, and the public at Anne Arundel Community College’s Arundel Mills location and remotely via phone, live chat, and email. Service departments include admissions, records and registration, accounts receivable/cashiers, financial aid, advising, and continuing education.

The Enrollments Center at Arundel Mills offers in‑person service Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm;
Monday, Thursday, and Friday service is remote. The schedule is subject to change during peak registration periods. The Agent is expected to work in‑person when the office is open.

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. Eligible Maryland residents or residents of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia may apply; the state restriction is reviewed annually.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Enrollment Processing: Provide a full range of student services, including admissions, records and registration, accounts receivable/cashiers, financial aid, and general college information; follow FERPA regulations; enter credit and non‑credit course registrations and other related transactions in student records; connect students with other college departments.
  • Remote Customer Service: Assist students remotely via phone, email, and live chat.
  • Cashiering: Accept payments, apply them to student records, and transmit documentation to the Cashier’s Office.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Support the Integrated Enrollment Services department by assisting the Response Center, Enrollment Center at Glen Burnie Town Center, and Enrollment Center at Arnold as assigned; participate in college events including Commencement, Open Houses, and College Fairs as deemed necessary.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Ability to work in‑person at AACC at Arundel Mills at least two days per week.
  • Minimum 2 years documented customer service experience.
  • Intermediate computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; use of internet, databases, and manuals.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Problem‑solving skills and ability to provide appropriate resolutions within predefined options.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Tactful and effective interaction with the public and other stakeholders.
  • Escalation of operational issues to supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of Enrollment Services throughout the academic year.
  • Confidentiality of student records and knowledge of FERPA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in higher education.
  • Previous experience in a community college enrollment‑related department.
  • Previous experience in a contact/call center.
  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Knowledge of FERPA regulations.
  • Experience with Ellucian Colleague, Modern Campus Destiny One, or Perceptive Content software.
  • Bilingual.
