Job Overview

The Discovery Coordinator is responsible for ensuring client readiness for litigation by managing discovery deadlines and ensuring that defendants are served promptly. The role includes reviewing client answers, coordinating service of process, monitoring discovery status, and preparing necessary motions.

Responsibilities
  • Review pre-suit client discovery answers for quality and hand them off to the File Suit Team.
  • Confirm complaints drafted and filed and select the best process server.
  • Confirm all summons are served and monitor any service issues.
  • Prepare and file motions to extend time needed to get service on a defendant.
  • Work with process servers to obtain affidavits of diligent search and non-service.
  • After defendants file discovery, draft request for production and interrogatories using client answers.
  • Track outgoing discovery to send good faith reminders and file ex-parte motions to compel when appropriate.
  • Review incoming discovery and apply to the discovery matrix.
  • Notify attorney of answers and advise whether motions to compel are needed.
  • Coordinate with the Litigation Scheduler to set motions for hearing.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in paralegal studies or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem–solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, cooperative, team‑oriented attitude.
  • Proficiency with Honey, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Slack.
