Overview
The Safety Clerk will be responsible for inputting a high volume of data from multiple sources into databases to store accident, injury, and incident reports.

- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

- Use a variety of software programs and forms to accurately document all injury, accident, and incident reports
- Review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities
- Follow up with employees and other departments to obtain incomplete or missing information
- Compile data and generate reports
- Create employee files, scan documents for electronic storage, and file hard‑copy documents
- Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
- Covers the Receptionist position during periods of absence
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- Two (2) years of clerical work in an office setting
- Accurate data entry at adequate speed
- Excellent attention to detail, planning, organization, and time‑management skills
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to utilize other departmental and company software programs
- Ability to multi‑task, work effectively with interruptions, and meet or exceed production and quality goals
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce
- Travel requirement: less than 5%
- Bilingual or multi‑lingual skills
- Must successfully pass drug testing and background checks
The position requires regular sitting, standing, walking, using hands to manipulate, reach with hands and arms, and talking or hearing. Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds and carrying objects. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Vision requirements include close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed. Most work is accomplished indoors in an air‑conditioned or well‑ventilated facility, in an office or cubicle space with telephone and computer. Long periods of sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen are common.
