Overview

NTB / Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring full-time Automotive Mechanics in the Frederick, MD area. Mavis is a large tire sales and automotive repair chain with over 2,000 locations nationwide.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles.
Perform undercar repairs, including brakes, struts and shocks.
Complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and perform dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing of tires.

Qualifications

Be at least 18 years old.

Be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Possess 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Possess an extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs.

Preferred Qualifications

State inspection license(s).

ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical Requirements

As an active position, automotive mechanics are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repetitive movements. Mechanics must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
