About Pick Your Part

Pick Your Part is a leader in used auto parts, hiring hardworking people who enjoy hands‑on work and helping others. The role involves maintaining the customer yard and facility to ensure it remains clean and safe.

• Remove fluids, lubricants, and components (e.g., converters) to prep vehicles for yard placement.
• Work primarily outdoors to remove vehicle parts from salvage cars, including quarter panels, doors, lids, hoods, axles, and suspension pieces.
• Set vehicles in the yard as assigned and record vehicle information accurately and promptly.
• Operate forklift or loader to assist in moving vehicles from processing to the yard.
• Clean out debris from vehicles before placement in the processing area.
• Pull out batteries for testing and resale, bringing charged batteries to the retail area.
• Collaborate with the Loader Operator to stage vehicles or pull vehicles in the yard correctly.
• Walk the yard to place debris in the cars removed from the yard.
• Dismantle tires.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Ensure all EPA and OSHA regulations are met.
• Wear all required PPE.
• Comply with established company policies and procedures.
• Support continual improvement of the company’s quality improvement system.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent desired.

• General knowledge and ability to perform relatively simple work.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work assignments.
• Effective communication skills.
• Flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends.

• Constant standing required, except when operating machinery.
• No lifting restrictions and no fear of heights.
• Ability to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb, and lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Capability to climb ladders, stairs, and tolerate heights over 15 feet.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions with no coverage.
• Ability to tolerate high and low temperatures.
• Moderately loud noise level in the work environment.
