Position Summary
Senior Technician position requires talent and technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, while using leadership and mentoring skills to drive a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction.
Pay$22.66 – $31.12 per hour. Bridgestone is committed to fair and lawful compensation practices and all employees receive pay that meets or exceeds applicable minimum wage requirements.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical systems, suspension and alignment, and air conditioning and computer systems.
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs clearly to non-mechanical individuals.
- Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
- Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
- Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment (company pays test and registration fees; technicians receive a bonus for each test passed).
- Valid automobile driver's license at all times and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments.
- Skill in general automotive maintenance & tire repair.
- Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
- Reading, writing and math skills.
- Three years of automotive repair experience.
- Demonstrated skills via third party assessments/certifications or completion of a Vocational-Technical School Program.
- ASE certification in at least one of A1–A8 (L1 certification acceptable).
