SRVacJet is seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead efforts in growing our client portfolio and expanding market presence. This individual will serve as the face of SRVacJet in the field — building trusted partnerships, uncovering new revenue streams, and ensuring our services reach the right customers. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable on job sites and in boardrooms alike, and brings a proactive approach to finding opportunities paired with strong relationship management skills.
Responsibilities- Prospect, pursue, and close new business across targeted markets including utilities, construction, municipal, and industrial sectors
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, nurturing long-term partnerships that drive repeat business and referrals
- Visit customer locations and active job sites to evaluate project needs, demonstrate service value, and support pre-job planning
- Build and present tailored proposals, service agreements, and competitive pricing strategies
- Represent SRVacJet at industry conferences, trade shows, and local networking events to increase brand visibility and generate leads
- Track all sales activity, client communications, and pipeline progress within the company's CRM platform
- Partner with operations, safety, and project management teams to ensure seamless handoffs from sales to service delivery
- Address client issues with urgency and professionalism, acting as an advocate for both the customer and the company
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities relevant to SRVacJet's service offerings
- Travel regularly throughout Maryland and neighboring states; occasional overnight travel may be required
- Adapt to a flexible schedule that aligns with client availability and project timelines
- Required:
High school diploma or equivalent - Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Minimum 2 years of proven sales or business development experience within industrial, environmental, construction, or similar service industries.
Skills- Exceptional ability to communicate, negotiate, and build lasting professional relationships
- Strong problem-solving ability and customer-centric mindset
- Self-starter who can manage their own workload, prioritize effectively, and perform well in high-demand situations
- Comfortable using standard office software and CRM platforms to manage accounts and track activity
- Maintains a professional and respectful demeanor with clients, partners, and team members at all times
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record
