We're looking for an experienced, relationship-driven Senior Manager, Business Development to expand corporate partnerships, grow exhibit and sponsorship revenue, and generate sustainable year-round support opportunities. This position is responsible for prospecting, pipeline development, client relationship management, and sponsorship sales coordination. Working collaboratively with Marketing, Finance, and Meetings teams, this individual will support revenue generation activities, exhibitor and sponsor engagement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:- Develop and manage strategic relationships with corporate partners and sponsors.
- Develop and execute sales strategies for exhibit space and sponsor ships to include new sponsorship ideas and creation of packages.
- Identify and secure new sponsor ships, exhibits, advertising, and year-round partnership opportunities.
- Manage the full business development lifecycle—from prospecting and proposal development through stewardship and renewal.
- Grow and support the PALTmed/Foundation Industry Advisory Board (IAB).
- Meet annual revenue goals through strategic partnership development.
- Collaborate across departments to align business development efforts with organizational priorities.
- Monitor healthcare and industry trends to identify emerging partnership opportunities.
- Coordinate sponsor recognition, reporting, agreements, and communications.
- Support exhibitor management and provide on-site leadership during the Annual Meeting and other events.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline and partnership records while providing regular performance reporting.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for exhibitors and sponsors.
- Conduct post-event follow-up calls to assess ROI and gather feedback.
- Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.
- Five or more years of progressive business development, corporate relations, sponsorship sales, fundraising, or partnership experience.
- Demonstrated success developing and securing major corporate partnerships and sponsor ships.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Experience using data and metrics to manage sales pipelines and measure performance.
- Financial acumen with the ability to develop revenue projections and business opportunities.
- Experience with in healthcare, medical associations, professional societies, or nonprofit organizations preferred.
- Knowledge of sponsorship, exhibit sales, or association revenue models.
