Business Process Analyst

Process analysts research through Salesforce and workshops with the business subject matter experts to understand the current process. Business Process Analysts gather information through process mapping, flow-charting, and workshops. This information will be used to develop requirements for system requirements and future enhancements. Business Process Analysts meet with business subject matter experts to determine the business goals that clients want to achieve and work towards.

They create reports and presentations utilizing qualitative analysis regarding current usage and opportunities for improvements. They participate in meetings with different stakeholders and participants in various parts of operational processes, analyze the information received. They communicate with Product Owners and Project Managers to review process flows and identify next steps and confirm output. They gather data, analyze, and make recommendations to meet project objectives, prepare client presentations.

Their primary goal is to assess business requirements to understand the current state and work with the team to visualize future state recommendations to support process improvements.

Analysis and Research:

They should be able to analyze and understand process mapping as a method of visualizing an ongoing process. They should know how to analyze information from business subject matter experts, developers, and key stakeholders.

Communication:

Ability to ask questions and document clearly, key information for business requirements. Clearly articulate the current process and the desired future state with stakeholders, both written and verbal. Business Process analysts must have excellent writing skills to produce presentations and reports on their findings as part of their job description.

Technical

Skills:

Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and MS Visio or a similar product for process flow visualization.

Experience:

1-2 years of experience in analysis experience and the ability/desire to learn quickly.
