We are hiring for a Senior Construction Manager to support our government customer based in Laurel, MD. This position is required to be onsite. This position will require an active DoD TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Full Scope Polygraph.

Job Description

V2X seeks a results‑driven individual to conduct construction inspections, ensure conformance to design specifications and building codes, and generate reports. This role reviews shop drawings and submittals, provides the COTR with recommendations for approval or disapproval, and notifies the Government in writing of non‑compliant safety hazards and recommended corrective actions. The Construction Manager–FP verifies completion of corrections, attends project meetings, and manages project design and/or construction efforts, including schedule, funding, and day‑to‑day project oversight.

Key responsibilities include evaluating construction contractor performance, integrating and coordinating projects with field personnel, managing change requests, providing official weekly project status reports, and preparing and distributing project communications. The role assists the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) with acquisition planning, execution, and administration; conducts pre‑bid and pre‑construction site visits; and provides invoice supporting information for payment.

The Senior Construction Manager will prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets, provide technical guidance on contracting and construction‑related issues, direct design efforts, recommend construction documents for approval, and oversee follow‑on maintenance programs. This includes optimizing performance, cost, and schedule while ensuring project objectives are achieved as quickly and cost‑effectively as possible. The role conducts design reviews, ensures timely input of all documentation into MAXIMO software, and integrates all systems, including information technology, telephone, security, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct construction inspections to ensure conformance to design specifications and building codes and generate reports.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals, and provide the COTR with a recommendation for approval or disapproval.
  • Notify the Government in writing of non‑compliant safety hazards and recommended corrective actions.
  • Verify completion of corrections and actions identified.
  • Attend project meetings.
  • Ensure project scope, cost, duration, and schedule are not altered without proper authorization.
  • Participate in Sponsor‑unique Permit Training and serve as Permit Authorizing Individual.
  • Manage project design and construction efforts, including schedule, funding, and day‑to‑day oversight.
  • Evaluate construction contractor performance.
  • Integrate and coordinate projects with field personnel.
  • Evaluate, validate, and manage project change requests.
  • Provide official weekly project status reports.
  • Prepare and distribute project communication with customers, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Assist the CO and COTR with acquisition planning, execution, and administration.
  • Assist with pre‑bid and pre‑construction site visits.
  • Provide invoice supporting information to the COTR for payment.
  • Prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets; provide technical guidance on contracting and construction‑related issues; direct design efforts; recommend construction documents for approval.
