Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

Location: Lusby

Role and Responsibilities

* Support management and field teams in the construction of various infrastructure projects.

* Travel to and work from field office locations located throughout NJ and region.

* Track time and quantities for project accounting.

* Review field reports for accuracy and tracking.

* Prepare and track submittals and RFIs.

* Assist the PM and Superintendent with documentation and coordination of all purchases and deliveries.

* Interface with client, engineers, inspectors and authorities having jurisdiction over the work.

* Assist the Superintendent and field crews with onboarding, timesheets and safety resources for work.

* Attended project meetings and document minutes.

* Maintain project schedules, production logs and budget & cost tracking.

* Take ownership of all project documentation including distribution to field crews and subcontractors as well as maintaining as built records.

* Perform material take-offs and prepare change orders.

* Assist the team with project close out documentation.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering or related field.

* 0-5 years of experience in the construction of heavy civil, utility, or infrastructure projects.

* Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

* Basic knowledge of construction and engineering principles.

* Familiar with reading and understanding construction drawings and specifications.

* Ability to communicate effectively within the Company as well as with clients and external parties.

* Detail oriented and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam Revu.

AutoCAD a plus.

* Knowledge of project management and scheduling software preferred.
