Job Title: Project Superintendent
Reports To: Project Manager
Summary: The Project Superintendent is responsible for the overall management of construction projects, from planning and scheduling to execution and completion. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in construction, with at least 5 of those years as a superintendent on projects similar in size and complexity. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the requirements of EM 385‑1‑1 and has experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
The individual must be capable of interpreting a critical path schedule and construction drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and manage the construction of projects from start to finish
- Oversee the work of subcontractors and ensure that they meet project requirements
- Monitor the progress of projects and identify potential problems early on
- Ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Comply with all applicable safety regulations
- Report to the Project Manager on the status of projects
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction, with at least 5 of those years as a superintendent
- Familiarity with the requirements of EM 385‑1‑1
- Experience in hazard identification and safety compliance
- Ability to interpret a critical path schedule and construction drawings
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented

All projects are located within MD, DC, and Northern VA. Applicants should live locally as we do not pay relocation expenses.
