- Prepare accurate electrical construction cost estimates from conceptual design through final construction documents
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation to develop detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing
- Evaluate labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and installation costs
- Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify scope and identify potential cost impacts
- Support budgeting, value engineering, and cost planning throughout project development
- Maintain estimating documentation and contribute to improving estimating practices
- 5 to 10 years of electrical estimating experience, preferably within M/E/P, infrastructure, or industrial construction
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction drawings, specifications, and estimating methodologies
- Experience preparing estimates across multiple phases of design development
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software
- Training is provided on the firm's proprietary platform
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, with a track record of working independently in a remote setting
- Located within commuting distance of Parkton, Maryland, or willing to relocate
- Occasional travel for training, team meetings, and project site visits
Demonstrates expertise in electrical estimating, including the ability to prepare accurate cost estimates, evaluate project costs, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams. Proficient in utilizing estimating software and Microsoft Excel to support budgeting and cost planning.
