Student Worker - Student Experience (Work-Study)

We are seeking a creative, engaging, and motivated Student Experience student worker to assist with the marketing of student experiences, execution of resource-based programs for students, and manage the lower McGowan Center Student Ask Desk with excellent customer service skills.

• Communication Creation:
  Utilize Canva to create engaging, clear, and organized advertising
• Content/Advertising:
  Utilize Carousel, Mount PEAK, Mount Messenger, and Instagram to advertise Student Experience events
• Collaborative Campaigns:
  Work with various departments through the Stakeholders Committee to create programs, advertise, and assist with resources.
• Customer Service:
  Utilize excellent customer service skills to assist students with questions about programs and resources on campus at the lower McGowan Center Ask Desk.
• Brand Alignment:
  Ensure that all content adheres to Mount St. Mary's branding guidelines and enhances the program's image.
• Written Communication:
  Utilize strong editing skills for email, advertising, and text messages (Canvas, Slate, Instagram, Mongoose, Zee Mee, etc.).

• Current enrollment in a degree program at Mount St. Mary's University
• Strong editing skills
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, You Tube) and trends
• Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Passion for student engagement and success
• Ability to meet deadlines and attend all assigned shifts
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to collaborate within and outside the department

• Gain valuable experience in media creation, communication, editing, networking, and digital marketing
• Potential for mentorship within the Student Life Division

Salary and Hours

• Students are paid the current minimum wage for Maryland.
• Students will work a total of eight (8) hours per week.
• We will work with schedules to ensure there are no conflicts with classes/sports.
