Position Title
Graduate Coordinator, Student Experience
Job DescriptionThe Student Experience Graduate Coordinator is an integral member of the Student Life team that reports directly to the Associate Director of Orientation and Family Programs. The graduate coordinator is responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities and works 12 months, 20 hours per week.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Assist with the ongoing development, staffing, logistical planning, and execution of January and August Expedition MSMU, summer orientation offerings, student leader training and mentoring, Sophomore Summit, Weeks of Welcome, and Mount Mania or other programs where the orientation staff is involved. This includes evening and weekend programming.
- Assist with the planning and execution of parent and family engagement programs and inquiries, such as Family Fest and online webinars
- Participate in professional development opportunities, particularly those provided by the Student Life Division or university
- Facilitate small and large group programs for students and parents
- Monitor and maintain the Orientation MyMount tab, email, and social media
- Assist with the coordination of the spring Sophomore Summit event to guide freshman with their transition to their sophomore year
- Participate in the recruitment and hiring process of new orientation staff
- Assist with producing, editing, creating and distributing advertising materials, including print, social media, video, and website materials
- Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Orientation and Family Programs
Education, Experience, and Skills
- Works well with multiple teams or independently and actively works to build positive relationships across the university
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills with all university constituents
- Strong computer/technology skills
- Organized/task-oriented
- Strong time management and administrative skills
- Creative, flexible, and adaptive
- Strong knowledge of university resources
- $10,000 Salary, 12-month contract
