Job OverviewThe Instructional Support Manager is responsible for supporting the quality and effectiveness of classroom instruction within Celebree School’s Pre‑K Expansion Grant programs in Maryland. This role partners closely with school leadership and teaching teams to provide coaching, mentorship, instructional guidance, and classroom support aligned with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) standards and developmentally appropriate practices. The ideal candidate is an experienced early childhood educator and instructional coach who is passionate about teacher development, classroom excellence, and student outcomes.
This individual will serve as a collaborative partner to teachers and directors while helping ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across assigned Pre‑K Expansion Grant classrooms.
- Provides instructional coaching and mentorship to Pre‑K Expansion Grant teachers and classroom teams
- Conducts classroom observations and provides constructive feedback to support instructional quality and teacher growth
- Supports implementation of developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum fidelity
- Collaborates with school directors to identify instructional strengths, opportunities, and professional development needs
- Assists teachers with lesson planning, classroom management strategies, child engagement, instructional best practices and maintaining the assessment cycle
- Supports implementation of MSDE Pre‑K Expansion Grant standards, requirements, and quality initiatives
- Participates in meetings, trainings, and professional development related to Pre‑K Expansion Grant programming and instructional excellence
- Models effective teaching strategies and classroom practices when needed
- Maintains documentation related to coaching visits, observations, and instructional support activities
- Builds positives, collaborative relationships with teachers, leadership teams, and support staff
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field required
- Previous classroom teaching experience in early childhood education required
- Previous instructional coaching, mentoring, or teacher support experience preferred
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood instructional strategies
- Familiarity with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) standards and UPK expectations preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to coach and support adults in a positive, collaborative manner
- Ability to travel to assigned school locations as needed
