Substitute Teacher - Middle and Upper School

Substitute Teacher, Non‑Exempt, $70 - $140/day

Substitute Teachers are hired on a per diem basis as needed. They should enjoy and possess the ability to work with school‑aged children in the division they are substituting. Substitutes must value the importance of diversity and can share and appreciate wide perspectives.

Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field; a master’s degree is desirable. Prior teaching experience in an independent or private upper or high school is preferred. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and experience working with cooperative and differentiated instruction. Core subjects or specialty area experience are ideal. Familiarity with Quaker education would be advantageous.

Salary: $70/half day; $140/full day
