Part Time Childcare Educator – DeKalb County School District

Educator Pay Rate: $16.00 – $18.00 (based on education and experience)
Program
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 2:10 PM – 6:00 PM
- Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and ensure team accountability.
- Organize and Facilitate Daily
Activities:
Prepare activities and curriculum for the day that align with the program’s objectives, including structured fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages. - Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
- Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols. Document attendance, incidents, and observations as required.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
- Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills
- Works well in a team environment
- At least one year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred)
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Commitment to inspiring a love for learning and healthy living
- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed
- Meet state‑specific requirements
- First Aid and CPR in person
- Cleared tuberculosis test
- Proof of MMR vaccination
- Minimum age 18 years
- Proof of high‑school diploma or GED
