Catholic High School​/Middle School Teacher

Overview

We are seeking a Catholic part-time high school/middle school teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom at our center in Sykesville, MD.

Classes may include Math, Language Arts, and Religion. You do not need a teaching certification or formal teaching experience to apply; we will teach you everything you need to know.

Regina Caeli Academy ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition. It offers instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. The position is hourly, and childcare/nursery is provided.

• Teach Math, Language Arts, and Religion to students.
• Prepare for classes at home and come to class prepared to teach in a highly structured environment.
• Attend mandatory training on August 3, 4, and 6, 2026 (8 a.m.
  
  -5 p.m.; no childcare provided). Nursing babies are always welcome.
• Apply curriculum and grading guidelines provided by Regina Caeli Academy.

• Knowledge of Latin.
• Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children; ministry in a Catholic parish; teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes; teaching own children; or teaching in a classical or private school.
• Strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, and a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and live the Catholic faith day-to-day, having received all sacraments appropriate to your state in life.
• Completed background check and RCA Safe Child training.
• Proficiency with standard computer skills, ideally Google Suite or an equivalent.

• Hourly position.
• Childcare/nursery provided on Mondays and Thursdays.

  Mondays and Thursdays 9:25 a.m.
  
  - 4:00 p.m.
