Front Teen Engagement and Program Associate

Location:

JCC of Greater Baltimore, 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave, Rosenbloom Campus, Owings Mills, MD 21117.

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000.

• Plan and implement engaging, impactful teen programs from start to finish:
  • Peer Leadership Fellows – a 9‑month cohort‑based teen leadership program for high school 10th and 11th graders, including a weekend Shabbaton (Shabbat retreat).
  • Social Innovation Fellowship – a 6‑month cohort‑based teen entrepreneurship program for high school freshmen to seniors, including an overnight travel experience.
  • J Camps Counselor‑In‑Training – an 8‑week CIT program for rising 9th and 10th graders over the summer.
• Program implementation includes but is not limited to:
  • Program facilitation: plan, lead and facilitate all program content in workshops and retreats in alignment with the goals of each program.
  • Recruitment: manage marketing, recruitment, interviewing and selection of teen participants.
  • Logistics: plan and manage all logistics related to workshops, retreats, trips, including NYC overnight trips for the Social Innovation Fellowship.
  • Relationship management: build and maintain strong individual relationships with participants and parents.
  • Communication: maintain timely, professional, and clear communication.
  • Partnerships: maintain relationships with strategic curricular partners.
  • Budgeting: manage program budgets.
  • Staff management: supervise junior staff and program assistants when applicable.
• Support engagement of Jewish teens in Baltimore, including:
  • Advancing 4
    
    Front’s mission through outreach, one‑off events and guest facilitation opportunities.
  • Attending and supporting 4
    
    Front teen programs and events as needed.
  • Assisting with all‑hands‑on‑deck 4
    
    Front and JCC events.
  • Representing 4
    
    Front at community‑wide programs and events.
  • Supporting Baltimore JCC Maccabi.
  • Participating in 4
    
    Front and JCC agency‑wide trainings, staff meetings and special events.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

• BA in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Jewish Studies, Entrepreneurship or related field.
• Familiarity with Jewish concepts, values, calendar, and practices.
• Proven success developing personal connections with young people, peers, or communities.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, especially an understanding of teen behaviors and dynamics.
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and execute programs.
• Experience in program facilitation.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Proven success in a leadership position.

This is an on‑site, in‑person position at the Rosenbloom Campus in Owings Mills, Maryland. The employee will spend time sitting, using a computer, laptop, or phone, and may also be on their feet frequently. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment may be fast‑paced and require high energy and interaction with others; noise levels may vary.
