Temporary Instructional Design & Accreditation Specialist
Under the direction of the Office of Early Childhood Program, the Temporary Instructional Design & Accreditation Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing digital learning environments and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. This role focuses on the structural integrity of Canvas pages and the organization of critical program documentation. This position supports Priority 1:
Strengthen Learning and Instruction of the HCPSS Strategic Plan by aligning high-quality resources to the Maryland Early Learning Standards to ensure students receive well-planned, evidence-based classroom instruction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education, a social science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and documentation requirements
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on digital file structure and formatting
- Experience managing Canvas or similar Learning Management Systems.
- Two supervisory references will be requested prior to any offer of employment. A task action will be sent by your recruiter upon meeting job qualifications.

Position Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive updates of Early Childhood Exemplary and Pre-K Community Canvas pages to ensure content is current, functional and user-friendly.
- Manage time-sensitive data by updating all relevant course dates and scheduling information across digital platforms.
- Overhaul the formatting and organizational systems of web pages to improve navigation and accessibility for staff.
- Manage the dedicated Accreditation page by integrating compiled standards and developing a templates section with verified resource links.
- Coordinate the digital architecture and content for specific initiatives, such as the 'Getting Ready for Kindergarten' page
- Perform other duties as assigned to advance program goals.

- A copy of an official transcript from an accredited college or university approved by the US Department of Education. Education completed outside the United States must be evaluated by an MSDE approved organization.

Compensation:
This is a temporary position and is grant funded. The hourly rate is determined by current budget allocations for temporary positions in the Early Childhood Access & Opportunity program.
