Alternative Education Teacher

Position Summary:
The Alternative Education Teacher will instruct students who have difficulty functioning in the regular classroom setting. The teacher will be responsible for providing the prescribed instructional programs, providing an environment and activities which nurture the development of improved self-concept and self-esteem, preparing students to return to their assigned school with improved behavior, academic achievement and attendance.

Terms of Employment:
Ten (10) month position and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience applied to the current Calvert County Public Schools' salary schedule for teachers. If selected for this position, the candidate is encouraged to enroll in direct deposit.

Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a drug screen. Current employees of the Calvert County Public Schools are exempt from these requirements.
