Overview
Under the supervision of the principal or other supervisor, the teacher assistant assists with the conduct of a class. Duties include preparing class materials, correcting and recording assignments, and providing a variety of other support services.

Job Details- Hourly rate: $17.24 (Grade 3, 2026-27 Salary Table)
- Hours:
3.6 per day, 174 days per year - Salary Grade 3
- Promotions result in a minimum 5% increase.
- Assist the classroom teacher in daily instruction.
- Prepare and organize classroom materials.
- Correct & record student assignments.
- Support various classroom activities and services.
- High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Equivalent to two years (48 semester hours) full‑time higher education, an associate’s degree, or the ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para‑Professional Test.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Secretarial/clerical skills, including proficiency with a computer (may be required).
