Position SummaryThe Student Assistant position will be an integral part of the Student Life & Leadership office, communicating with the student community through various advertising mediums, assisting in the coordination of campus events, and providing customer service to students and student organizations.
Education / ExperienceCurrently enrolled Stevenson University student in good standing with the University academically and judicially.
Knowledge / Skills / Ability- Must be able to commit to one year of working in Student Life & Leadership; must be available for training.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive customer service attitude. Previous or current involvement in campus organizations or activities is preferred.
- Be available to work between 6-10 hours per week during the academic semester with some availability after 5 pm to Midnight; some weekend hours will be required.
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy in working with others both face to face and on the phone. Detailed oriented, dependable and reliable; self-starter and enthusiastic.

Medium work: exerting up to 45 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Keyboarding, standing and/or sitting, walking, talking and hearing. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal.
Essential Functions- Work with the Student Life & Leadership Office to create a fun and informative environment for the SU community in the Center for Student Life & Leadership and at designated events.
- Assist with various departmental projects.
- Clerical duties such as copying, stapling, printing, creating spreadsheets in the Microsoft Office Suite.
