Special Education Teacher - Centreville, Maryland

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time, contract position for the  school year. You'll work with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels, supporting both inclusion classrooms and self-contained programs focused on behavior and life skills. Your schedule will follow a Monday through Friday routine, 7:25 am to 4:00 pm, providing you with a consistent workday and time to build strong relationships with your students. You'll play a vital role by creating a supportive learning environment and adapting instruction to meet individual needs.

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience with or knowledge of inclusion and self-contained classroom settings
• Ability to effectively manage classrooms and implement behavior and life skills interventions
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues
• Passion for facilitating the academic and personal development of diverse learners

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate varying abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and structured classroom environment
• Communicate progress and strategies with families and educational teams
