Course: Alcohol in U.S. Society (BEHS 364) – an interdisciplinary examination of alcohol use and abuse from the perspectives of psychology, physiology, sociology, medicine, counseling, law, and public health, focusing on current research, treatment practices, and impacts across lifespan.
Responsibilities- Teach the course on campus, delivering high‑quality instruction to adult learners.
- Engage students through frequent interaction, active collaboration, and problem‑based projects.
- Provide rich, constructive feedback using rubrics and acknowledge student achievements.
- Maintain current subject‑matter expertise and help students connect concepts across their academic program.
- Offer feedback to program leadership on potential curricular improvements.
- Master’s degree in Social Science or related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional experience in behavioral sciences or a related field.
- Prior teaching experience with adult learners, preferably online or in higher education.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Resume or Curriculum Vitae.
- Cover Letter (highly preferred).
- For international degrees, a translation or degree evaluation from a NACES‑approved vendor.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and based on credit hour rate per the university’s hiring schedule.
