Summary
:
This position plans, executes, and monitors all state and local College and Career Ready Assessments. It also tracks students who are ready and assists the Guidance Department in determining post‑ready pathways.
- Develop a school testing calendar for all state tests, Accuplacer assessments, PSAT tests, and AP tests.
- Assist counselors with sending letters home about graduation progress related to testing and College and Career Ready requirements.
- Create a plan detailing examiners, proctors, testing locations, groups, and all other associated tasks.
- Serve as the building technology contact, training staff on technology for testing periods.
- Be available post‑Summer School for all state assessment testing.
- Maintain paperwork for all state assessments.
- Maintain a list of students who did not sit for testing or who need retesting for College and Career Readiness.
- Provide remediation and intervention services or classes as requested or assigned.
- Attend Parent/Teacher Conferences to discuss College and Career Readiness with parents.
- Provide resources for SAT, Accuplacer, and College and Career readiness materials.
- Work with the School Improvement team to develop the School’s Improvement Plan.
- Manage matters database.
- Guide instructional staff in data analysis utilization.
- Serve as the building SLO lead.
- Meet with teachers to help integrate Student Learning Goals (SLOs) into performance and create necessary assessments.
- Serve as liaison between teachers and the Local Accountability Coordinator.
- Collaborate with Instructional Supervisors and other staff on county initiatives.
- Assist with gradebook checks and classroom walk‑throughs as needed.

- Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of education. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching. - Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid teaching certificate issued by the State of Maryland.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional and trade journals, technical procedures, instructional materials; write reports, detailed lesson plans, procedure manuals; present information and respond to questions from students, administrators, and the public. - Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to calculate figures related to school finance and resource planning; apply basic statistical analysis for instructional improvement. - Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems, interpret instructions in various forms, identify professional development needs, design, implement, lead, and evaluate professional development activities.

Qualifications:
Ability to travel to in‑county and out‑of‑county meetings and training sessions; dependable, punctual; join professional organizations and read relevant journals.
Regular talking or hearing; frequent standing, walking, and handling; occasional sitting; lift or move up to 25 pounds. Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment vision.

Salary: $52,018 to $96,181 Per Year
