Overview

Regina Caeli Academy is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, located in Sykesville and Eldersburg, MD. The Academy seeks a part‑time high‑school and middle‑school teacher to conduct classes in a Catholic, Socratic classroom setting.

• Teach high‑school and middle‑school subjects such as Math, Latin, History, and Religion on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:15am to 3:45pm.
• Prepare and deliver instruction in accordance with RCA curriculum and grading guidelines.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a structured learning environment.
• Prepare lesson plans at home and arrive to class fully prepared.

• Knowledge of Latin is preferred; experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children is advantageous.
• Experience teaching Religious Education, Catechism, or in a classical or private school setting is helpful.
• Strong communication skills, organizational ability, and punctuality.
• Traditional view of the student/teacher relationship within a Catholic context.
• Must have received all sacraments appropriate to current state in life and be willing to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Computer literacy, preferably with Google Suite or an equivalent platform.

• All staff complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.

• Hourly compensation.
