- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience working with middle and high school students.
- Knowledge of Career Technical Education.
- Experience and knowledge in career exploration and development of college and career plans.
- Knowledge of current practices in family involvement.
- Exemplary human relations skills.
- Exemplary organizational, oral communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent computer and technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Publisher, Word, and Excel).
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work closely with guidance community, assistant principals and parents.
- Capacity to perform routine clerical procedures
- Responsible for the recruitment and identifying qualified students for the CTE (Career Technical Education) programs.
- Responsible for implementing presentations and on-site visitations of prospective candidates.
- Responsible for maintaining communication with home schools and parents regarding satisfactory progress in the program.
- Responsible for assisting teachers daily regarding classroom issues and attendance for CTE students.
- Responsible for coordinating and providing career-related presentations and activities for CTE students.
- Acts as a mentor to student CTE population.
- Support CTE instructors with program requirements such as Program Advisory Committee Meetings, Program Certification, and Accreditation.
- Coordinate and support the chapter of SkillsUSA at Robert
D. Stethem Educational Center. - Other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard.
The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
