Job Title
Clinical Coordinator (Assistant Professor), Physician Assistant Program – FTE .5
Job SummaryThe Clinical Coordinator works closely with the clinical education team to promote program success with a strong focus on the clinical phase. The role includes teaching duties primarily related to Supervised Clinical Practice Experiences and supporting the identification, development, and maintenance of adequate clinical affiliate sites and preceptors in compliance with accreditation requirements.
Responsibilities- Provide academic instruction and evaluate student performance, serving as instructor of record for Supervised Clinical Practice Experience (SCPE) courses.
- Align curriculum and teaching with accreditation requirements, maintaining faculty–student engagement throughout the clinical phase.
- Utilize the clinical learning management system to monitor and evaluate student clinical experience and site performance data.
- Recruit, develop, coordinate, maintain, visit, and monitor clinical sites, experiences, and preceptors in conjunction with the Director of Clinical Education.
- Maintain positive relationships with partners and serve as a faculty advisor to students, monitoring advisee progress.
- Participate in program development activities: reviewing and revising mission statement, goals, competencies, curriculum design, and program evaluation.
- Support ongoing accreditation activities aligned with professional standards and participate in program committees as assigned.
- Lead student training and orientation sessions and facilitate small group learning activities.
- Assist in admissions activities, including prospective student recruitment, evaluation, and selection.
- Maintain and update educational equipment and online learning resources.
- Uphold a collegial learning environment for faculty, staff, students, partners, and stakeholders.
- Stay current with PA education trends and clinical practice; engage in professional development and scholarly activities.
- Travel to clinical sites as required.
- Effective communication, including constructive feedback, active listening, verbal, non‑verbal, and written expression.
- Time management, organization, reliability, and timely completion of deliverables.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential topics.
- Teamwork, conflict resolution, collaboration, empathy, and diplomacy.

Education, Experience and Skills
- Minimum Master’s degree in an appropriate field from an accredited university.
- Current NCCPA certification.
- Minimum of three years clinical experience as a PA.
- Targeted salary: $51,500 per year.
- Part‑time (FTE .5) with one release day per week for clinical practice or other approved activity for full‑time positions, as applicable.
