Designs, develops, and revises complex, interactive technical virtual learning modules. Ensures the integrity of task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans. Converts written materials and/or training requirements into online interactive courseware. Develops flow diagrams and storyboards to design instructionally-sound eLearning solutions using a variety of delivery media. Works with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content.
Works with multimedia and graphic designers to design and develop audio/visual materials. Develops course manuals, training aids, and other resources as needed to enhance training. Executes assigned instructional design tasks under the guidance of senior instructional design staff, using Government-approved templates and processes, and maintains audit-ready instructional design artifacts in approved repositories.

Essential Responsibilities:- Provide input for learning objects for interactive eLearning solutions (for example: HTML5, Captivate, Edge delivery and/or Government-approved equivalent).
- Complete data entry and technical writing activities.
- Assist in developing and maintaining design documents and storyboards using Government-approved templates, style guides, and standard operating procedures; incorporates SME inputs and document technical review comments and dispositions as directed.
- Draft and update formative knowledge checks and practice activities (when tasked) aligned to measurable learning objectives; coordinate assessment approach questions with senior instructional design/testing personnel as applicable.
- Support packaging and validation of courseware artifacts in required formats (e.g., SCORM as applicable) and coordinate publishing inputs with LMS Administration and Configuration Management per established procedures.
- Apply basic Section 508/WCAG accessibility practices (e.g., headings, alt text, color/contrast considerations) and document identified issues for remediation as directed.
Clearance Required:
TS/SCI preferred
Minimum Education:Bachelor's degree in Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Education, English, Communications, or related field and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
OR
Associate's degree (or 18 semester hours of military coursework/training in a related field) and a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience
OR
High school diploma/GED and a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience
Minimum Years ofExperience:
Relevant experience includes instructional/curriculum development, development or maintenance of interactive eLearning and/or instructor-led course materials, storyboard/design document development, and learning objective mapping to KSA/JQS (as applicable)
Preferred Qualifications:Experience applying adult learning principles and basic instructional systems design practices (e.g., ADDIE) to develop or revise course content is required.
Familiarity with eLearning authoring and media tools (e.g., Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, or Government-approved equivalents) is desired.
Experience working with highly technical or complex subject matter (e.g., cybersecurity, computer networking, IT, complex hardware/software systems) is desired.
Experience drafting or updating formative knowledge checks/practice activities aligned to learning objectives is desired.
Familiarity with basic accessibility principles and Section 508/WCAG considerations (e.g., headings, alt text, readable contrast) is desired.
