High Voltage Testing Engineers and Technicians Needed – W2 Contract
I have long term utility projects at all of these locations:
- Springfield, MA
- Lancaster, PA
- Indianapolis, IN
(all long term contracts 6-12 months with opportunity for extension or go full time)
We are seeking experienced High Voltage Lead (P&C) Commissioning Engineers/Technicians to support utility and substation testing projects across the U.S. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong expertise in relay testing, protection & control systems, and full substation commissioning through energization. Candidates must have prior utility or T&D experience.
Per diem, truck allowance or mileage, and mobilization (MOB) pay are provided.
This is not low-voltage, residential, commercial, or industrial facilities electrical work. Applicants without high-voltage substation and utility scale relay experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities- Test, troubleshoot, and commission P&C systems in high‑voltage substations
- Perform protective relay testing using OMICRON, Doble, or similar equipment
- Support substation commissioning, energization, and outage activities
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and protection drawings
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and utility procedures
- Experience as a P&C Technician, Relay Technician, or Substation Commissioning Technician
- Hands‑on experience in high‑voltage substations
- Proven relay testing and commissioning experience
- Ability and willingness to travel for project‑based work
- Experience with SEL, ABB, GE, or Siemens relays
