Overview Full-time/Permanent EmployeeLocation: Hollywood, MD
Aether Aerospace is currently seeking an Engineering Technician to join our growing team in the Hollywood, MD area.
Responsibilities- Work with engineers and customers to develop/ assemble/install aircraft sub-systems
- Fabricate, repair, and install aircraft components and assemblies, to include minor composite work, sheet metal, machining.
- Provide items to QA for inspection
- Package items to be delivered or support installation of assemblies
- Occasional travel may be required
Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
Years of Experience and
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum 4 years of relevant experience (Military time as an Airframer does count).
- Knowledge of the physical properties and working characteristics of sheet metal
- Skills and experience with structural modification of aircraft in an Intermediate or Depot level facility nice to have
- Skills and experience with airframe repairs using sheet metal and composite materials
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of tools and equipment required in the sheet metal/machinist trade
- Knowledge of shop mathematics and principles (bend deduction, bend allowance)
- Required experience working on commercial or DOD aircraft as an aircraft structural installer/ repairer.
- Experience reading/ interpreting ASME Y14.5 engineering drawing packages
- Experience working in AS9100 environment
- Basic computer skills focusing on MS Office
- Ability to work well with people
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- A&P license or A Part
