Level & Compensation- Mid Level – $90,000 – $110,000 per year
- Senior Level – $117,200 – $143,000 per year
- All levels include bonus, 401(k) and a comprehensive benefits package
Perform advanced technical and engineering problem solving to support nuclear plant operations. Provide technical decisions, possess deep discipline knowledge and adhere to industry codes and regulations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities- Provide in‑depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
- Offer technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
- Manage engineering issues from start to finish, ensuring configuration management and compliance with design criteria, practices, procedures and codes.
- Perform engineering tasks, applying engineering principles as assigned by supervision.
- Conduct independent research, reviews, studies and analyses for support of technical projects and programs.
- Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs and correct design or material flaws.
- Support emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs and outage activities in positions outside the department.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) with at least 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Maintain minimum or unescorted access requirements and a favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) with at least 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Maintain minimum or unescorted access requirements and a favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls with an Instrumentation & Controls emphasis.
- Strong transmission and transformer experience.
- Experience with I&C changes and uprates.
- Reactor protective systems experience.
- PLC programming skills.
- Professional Engineer registration.
