Duties Help
* You will plan work and prepare performance plans covering work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting short-term priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work.
* You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities and evaluate work performance of subordinates to recommend official performance ratings.
* You will give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters as well as hearing and resolving complaints from employees.
* You will interview candidates for positions in the unit, recommend appointments such as promotions/reassignments, and identify developmental and training needs of employees.

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
* This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition
Functional Area
and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR . Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09/12) grade level or pay band (NM-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Reviewing, formulating, and establishing all engineering requirements expressed as specifications, contract addenda, standards, or operating policies/procedures governing the structural life management of the air vehicle; (2) Serving as a principal expert, advisor, and consultant for structural life management matters and representing the agency on appropriate DoD, national, and international panels to address issues pertinent to structural life management and aging aircraft engineering issues;
(3) Defining policies and procedures to establish, issue, and maintain aircraft service life limits as well as ensuring policies and peacetime planning factors governing the use of Naval aircraft are consistent with aircraft structural policies, life limits, and usage; (4) Assembling and evaluating all structurally-oriented information, including static and fatigue analyses, static and fatigue test data, airframe maintenance and reliability information, and flight launch/landing using data on specific aircrafts to assess and validate the service life of the air vehicle;
and (5) Managing the establishment and execution of well-documented processes for uses throughout the organization and ensuring new technology and lessons learned are incorporated in organization processes.
