WHY DO WE NEED YOU? The World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Engineer leads initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, quality, and cost.
Aligned with Certain Teed's “World Class Manufacturing” (WCM) pillar, this role analyzes current operations to identify waste and inefficiencies, then implements lean and Six Sigma-based solutions.
The position partners with cross-functional teams to redesign workflows, streamline operations, and eliminate bottlenecks. This role has responsibility for site sustainability activities.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze manufacturing processes using data to identify and implement improvements in cycle time, yield, and resource utilization.
- Lead lean manufacturing initiatives, applying tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, and visual management.
- Lead site sustainability activities and track relevant KPIs.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent defects and inefficiencies.
- Drive continuous improvement projects aligned with business objectives and timelines.
- Establish, track, and report KPIs to measure improvement effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
- Train and mentor employees in lean principles and problem-solving methodologies.
- Identify and implement industry best practices and innovative solutions to enhance performance and competitiveness.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 8-10 years of project management / process engineering experience
- Master's Degree in Engineering
- 8-10 years of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma experience
Pay range: $92,000 to $142,000 per year. Base pay may vary by geography.
Eligible for an annual bonus targeting 12% of base salary. Total Target Cash range: $103,040 to $159,040.
