Responsibilities- Assist in the development of multiple construction plans for transportation projects, under the supervision of a senior project engineer or project manager.
- Perform work involving conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment; assignments usually include engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications, and assistance with proposal preparation.
- Help coordinate the work of multiple engineering disciplines, as well as performing drafting/CADD work for the project.
- Develop engineering reports, quantities and construction cost estimates.
- General knowledge and/or experience with Micro Station, AutoCAD.
- Candidate must have good communication and technical writing skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, and NACTO standards.
- EIT certification (preferred).
- 0–2 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- General knowledge of required design software (Micro Station, AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good communication and technical writing skills.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to think critically.
- Previous internships or work experience in the engineering field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to maintain required certifications.
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification.
