• Assist in the development of multiple construction plans for transportation projects, under the supervision of a senior project engineer or project manager.
• Perform work involving conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment; assignments usually include engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications, and assistance with proposal preparation.
• Help coordinate the work of multiple engineering disciplines, as well as performing drafting/CADD work for the project.
• Develop engineering reports, quantities and construction cost estimates.

• General knowledge and/or experience with Micro Station, AutoCAD.
• Candidate must have good communication and technical writing skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, and NACTO standards.
• EIT certification (preferred).

• 0–2 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• General knowledge of required design software (Micro Station, AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good communication and technical writing skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to think critically.

• Previous internships or work experience in the engineering field.

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to maintain required certifications.

• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification.
• Pre‑employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
