Analyze production capacity and resource constraints; propose plans to mitigate bottlenecks and balance workloads across multiple projects. - Demand Management:
Review and integrate order forecasts, change requests, and new project introductions into the MPS, ensuring schedule accuracy and feasibility. - Schedule Optimization:
Identify opportunities to improve on-time delivery performance, reduce lead times, and enhance throughput efficiency. - Change Management:
Manage the impact of engineering changes (ECOs), customer revisions, and supply disruptions on the master schedule; communicate and coordinate updates across stakeholders. - Performance Reporting:
Track and report key metrics such as schedule adherence, on-time delivery, backlog status, and capacity utilization. - Systems and Data Management:
Maintain accurate scheduling data within the ERP/MRP system; ensure BOM and routing accuracy for scheduling purposes. - Continuous Improvement:
Drive process improvements in planning and scheduling practices, leveraging lean manufacturing and advanced planning tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in production planning or scheduling, preferably in an Engineer-to-Order or Project-based Manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, BOM structures, routings, and capacity planning.
- Experience coordinating across engineering, procurement, and manufacturing functions.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Experience in Epicor an advantage).
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to handle multiple complex projects and shifting priorities.
