Your Role

As a Summer College Intern in our Annapolis Junction office, you will play an integral role in our projects and in the early formation of your professional career. The internship is divided into two levels:

  • Level 2: Junior, Senior, or graduate students. In addition to Level 1 field tasks, responsibilities include report preparation, soil classification, and other technical duties under professional guidance.
Requirements
  • Commit to a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer months; weeks do not need to be contiguous.
  • Possess a reliable vehicle for construction sites, a valid driver’s license, and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Meet all pre‑employment hiring requirements.
  • Be able to lift or move up to 60–80 pounds.
  • Have effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to perform basic mathematical procedures and use measurement tools.
  • Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) students are highly desirable; students in geology or other engineering disciplines are also encouraged to apply.
