Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Road & Transportation Project Manager to join our team in Centreville, Virginia
. This is a leadership role for a seasoned professional who understands how to successfully plan, design, and deliver complex roadway and transportation projects, while building strong client relationships and helping grow the business.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader who inspires trust and is experienced in roadway design and transportation infrastructure, and has extensive experience working with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). This individual must be comfortable leading teams, managing project delivery from design through construction, supporting business development efforts, and serving as a visible and trusted client partner.
Responsibilities- Oversee a civil design team’s technical deliverables and meet project schedules from design through construction.
- Use technical expertise to ensure the highest quality engineering meets all design requirements.
- Identify new business opportunities and participate in the proposal process, then remain technically hands‑on throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify new opportunities with current contacts in the region to help grow the business.
- 12 years or more experience on major road and highway projects, with a demonstrated work history in project management.
- VA/MD/DC experience required.
- BS degree in civil engineering or a related field required, with background in road/highway projects and supervisory or PM experience.
- Ability and willingness to interface with clients, participate in business development, and be hands‑on technically.
- Proven leadership and team‑building skills and professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of VA/MD/DC clients and professional network preferred; PM experience with state DOT projects in other states considered.
- PE license required.
