Environmental Assistant Project Manager

Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking a motivated Environmental Assistant Staff Project Manager. This field-based role focuses on third‑party tank inspections and performing tasks assigned by senior staff, with office responsibilities increasing as experience grows. Ideal candidates bring a strong customer service mindset and alignment with ECS Core Values.

• Completing Maryland Department of the Environment Third Party Tank Inspections and requisite repairs of deficiencies
• Interact and collaborate with staff members on a variety of projects
• Attend project meetings with senior staff as requested
• Interface with contractors and other site personnel on project sites daily
• Keep supervisor informed of changing site conditions and/or additional testing requested on project sites
• Other duties as assigned

• Maryland Certified UST System Inspector Certification is required
• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other Engineering degree applicable to Environmental Consulting is preferred
• Minimum of one year of experience is required
• If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required

• Basic knowledge of environmental principles and applications
• Basic knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods
• Interest in project management, consulting, and business development
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds a number of times each day and walk on uneven ground through various terrains
